WCBA Luncheon, Wednesday, November 9, 12 noon, Harrah’s Showroom

WCBA Introduces You to the Federal Court’s Case Management/Electronic Case Filing System - 1 cr. CLE

Are you ready for e-filing in Federal Court? In a short two months — January 1, 2006 — all papers filed by members of the bar in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada must be filed electronically through the Court’s Case Management/Electronic Case Filing System (CM/ECF). Additionally, beginning this month, the Court will start transmitting documents electronically to those attorneys registered to use the electronic filing system and the format of documents distributed by the Court will change. Washoe County Bar Association welcomes Judge Larry Hicks and Chief Deputy Court Clerk Jake Herb and Patrick Watkins, Deputy Court Clerk and Training Specialist to introduce our members and their staff to the new requirements. WCBA encourages you to attend this important luncheon and to bring your staff. Legal assistants, secretaries and IT staff are welcome at the member price when attending with a WCBA member.
